The High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China(RDFZ) Performance Art Troupe consists of eight student art clubs—symphony orchestra, choir, dance team, boys’ dance team, martial arts team, aerobics team, marching band, and electronic light music team. It has more than 500 members, all of whom are junior and senior high school students aged between 13 to 17, with satisfactory academic performance and artistic aptitude at RDFZ.
RDFZ symphony orchestra has won the first prize for several times in the musical instrument competition of Beijing Student Art Festival. They won the top award four times in a row in the National High School Students Art Festival Orchestra Category in the year 2004, 2007, 2010 and 2013. In 2006, they won the Gold Prize in Orchestra Category in the 35th Vienna International Youth Music Festival.
The martial arts team has won the first prize many times for its single performance in the National High School Students Martial Arts Competition as well as the first prize for its group performance in Beijing High School Students Martial Arts Competition. The team won the second prize in 2015 and first prize in 2016 for its group performance in the National High School Students Martial Arts Championships. In 2016, the team won the second prize for its group performance in the National Traditional Sports School Competition.
In 2005, the aerobics team won the second prize for its six-people performance in the World’s Aerobics Championships. In 2007, the team won the first prize for the women’s single performance in the World’s Aerobics Championships. In 2010, it won the first prize for the six-people performance in the World’s Aerobics Championships. And in 2015, the team won the second prize for its aerobic dance in the World’s Aerobics Championships. It also won the first prize in both the junior and senior category of Chinese Middle and High School Students Aerobics Championships.
Founded five years ago, the boys’ dance team has won the first prize in Beijing Student Art Festival and Haidian District Student Art Festival for its wonderful dance performance for several years in a row.
Since its foundation in 2014, the dance team of Cui Wei School of RDFZ has participated in several competitions and earned the great reputation in many Art Festivals.
The folk music team of Cui Wei School of RDFZ has won the first and second prize of ensemble many times in Student Art Festival of Haidian District since its establishment.
Appointed by the Ministry of Culture, the State Hanban, and other national organizations, RDFZ’s Art Troupe has taken part in “China-France Culture Year”, “China-Russia Culture Year”, and “Happy Spring Festival” for many times. It has taken part in the exchange activities with the Confucius Institute for several times as well. In recent years, the art troupe has been invited to give tour performances in America, France, Austria, Russia, Britain, Greece, Australia, Spain, Germany, Czech Republic, and many other countries. As a special envoy representing Chinese culture, it brings prestige and honor to China wherever it goes, making positive contribution to international communication and understanding.
RDFZ Art Troupe American Tour 2018 mainly includes symphony orchestra, boys’ dance team, martial arts team, and also dance team and folk music team of Cui Wei School of RDFZ. This is the 12th American tour for the RDFZ’s art troupe.
人大附中艺术团由交响乐团、合唱团、舞蹈团、男子舞蹈团、武术队、健美操队以及行进乐团、电子轻音乐团等八个艺术团体组成。现有成员500余人，均由品学兼优且有较高艺术素养的在校学生组成。年龄在13～17岁之间。
交响乐团曾数次获得北京市学生艺术节器乐比赛一等奖第一名；2004、2007、2010及2013年蝉联四届“全国中小学生文艺展演活动”交响乐组一等奖；2006年获第三十五届维也纳国际青年音乐节交响乐组金奖第一名。
武术队曾多次获得过全国中学生武术比赛单项冠军及北京市团体第一名的好成绩；获得过 2015年全国中学生武术锦标赛团体第二名，2016年全国中学生武术锦标赛团体第一名及2016年全国传统项目学校武术比赛团体第二名等优异成绩。
健美操队2005年在世界健美操锦标赛获六人操第二名;2007年获得世界健美操冠军赛女子单人操第一名;2010年获得世界健美操冠军赛六人操第一名。2015年获世界健美操锦标赛有氧舞蹈亚军及中国中学生健美操锦标赛初中组、高中组第一名。
男子舞蹈团成立不到五年即连续获得北京市及海淀区学生艺术节舞蹈比赛一等奖。
人大附中翠微学校舞蹈团自2014年成立以来积极参加校内外的各类交流演出活动，并在艺术节比赛中取得较好的成绩。
人大附中翠微学校民乐团自2014年成立以来多次获得海淀区学生艺术节合奏一、二等奖。
自2004年开始，我校学生艺术团曾多次受中国文化部、国家汉办等委派，参加“中法文化”、“中俄文化年”、“欢乐春节”品牌及“孔子学院”交流演出活动。近年来曾先后多次赴美国、法国、奥地利、俄罗斯、英国、希腊、澳大利亚、西班牙、德国、捷克等多个国家进行访问演出，均受到热烈欢迎，得到高度评价，为促进国际交流与理解做出了贡献。
参加2018年赴美交流演出的包括人大附中交响乐团、男子舞蹈团、武术队以及人大附中翠微学校舞蹈团和翠微学校民乐团的部分成员，这是人大附中艺术团近年来连续第十二次赴美交流演出。
